MONUMENTS IN NATURE
I am fascinated by those temporary, man-made marks and structures in nature—traces of bushcraft or camp building that evoke a sense of a life long past. Huts built for play, with branches leaning against each other, remind me of childhood. Marks made to celibrate love or being. Abandoned or left behind there in multi-sensory natural environments, do they become monuments to the human settler? My photographic project, Monuments in Nature, explores such structures and marks.
